The Mohonk Mountain House
New Paltz, New York
April 11th – April 14th 2013
.
President’s message, Angle East 2013 scientific meeting.
“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” (Benjamin Franklin)
The annual Angle East meeting is more than a gathering of colleagues, not simply a meeting of minds, deeper than a reunion of friends, and decidedly not a professional “convention.” It is a complete involvement in what we are all privileged to be a part of – a specialty with a proud and robust history of service, knowledge, art, and science. Over the course of a few brief days we listen and discuss, we observe and demonstrate, we question, we doubt, and we reflect.
At the end of our meetings we leave rejuvenated in mind and spirit; we always look forward to the next year because, seemingly without fail, each succeeding meeting gets better.
I welcome you to the heart of the beautiful Catskill Mountains of New York and the quiet solitude of the Mohonk Mountain House. With the help of many dedicated members we have once again assembled a meeting that will be memorable and unique. Marcel Korn has arranged a scientific program that is second to none. We welcome our new guests and rising Academic and Clinical Affiliates. I look forward to sharing this time with my friends, family, and compatriots.
Thanks to all that have made this meeting possible, and thank you for the privilege of being your president of Angle East 2013.
William Cole
